Why Our Flour Is Different
Most commercial flours are roller-milled, blended from multiple sources, and stored for long periods.
At Fresh Acres, we grow our grains organically and mill them in small batches to preserve flavour, nutrients, and baking performance. All our grains are locally grown and milled “cold” (single-pass milling) without heat, helping retain the flour’s natural character.
Because our flour is unbleached, your baked goods may be slightly darker than those made with commercial flour. This natural colour reflects the grain’s richness.
You’ll notice better flavour, reliable performance, and a more satisfying texture across a wide range of recipes.

Yes, our products here at Fresh Acres are Certified Organic by Pro-Cert Organic Systems Ltd. which is a third party auditor that verifies that our farm adheres to the Canadian Organic Regime set out by CFIA. Beyond the certification process, Organic farming and biomimetic practices are also a part of our personal lifestyle and our childrens' lifestyle.
Do you offer local pick up?
Local pick up is available at our farm in New Lowell (ORDER ONLINE AND SELECT LOCAL PICK-UP).
How long does it take for my order to ship out?
As we are a working farm shipping times may vary. Please allow 3-5 business days for us to ship out your order.
Does Fresh Acres have an actual store?
No, Fresh Acres Farm does not have a brick and mortar store. We are a working farm but you can pick up from our processing building in New Lowell. Please let us know when you will be there and we will have your order ready for you ASAP.

As always, awesome service! Awesome product! The only bread flour we can use that doesn’t bother our gut. It’s not the gluten as we thought —but rather, something they’re adding in popular store bought flours.
Have made a couple of blueberry lemon loaves that tasted great with this flour. Looking forward to trying the bread flour in my sourdough leaves.
When I found out I had the MTHFR gene problem, I went searching for alternate flours. I tried a couple and 5 Acres came out on top. I bake everything I used to!! This flour makes awesome bechamel, breads, muffins, cookies. You name it, this flour does it!!
