Why Our Flour Is Different

Most commercial flours are roller-milled, blended from multiple sources, and stored for long periods.

At Fresh Acres, we grow our grains organically and mill them in small batches to preserve flavour, nutrients, and baking performance. All our grains are locally grown and milled "cold" (single-pass milling) without heat to preserve the natural qualities of the flour. As a result, your baked goods may be slightly darker than those made with commercial flours. This is a sign of the flour's natural richness—free from the bleaching and processing typically used to create a whiter colour.

You’ll notice better fermentation, stronger dough, and a richer grain taste.
