Why Our Flour Is Different

Most commercial spelt flours are heavily refined and stored for long periods.

At Fresh Acres, we grow our spelt organically and mill it in small batches using cold, single-pass milling. This preserves the grain’s natural flavour and baking performance while producing a lighter flour that’s still full of character.

You may notice a slightly darker crumb than commercial white flours—this is a sign of minimal processing and real grain integrity.

You’ll experience softer doughs, excellent extensibility, and a naturally sweet finish.
